Supra Solem Observing

Supra Solem Observing provides affordable data collection, data analysis instruction, and remote observatory operation for researchers, volunteer astronomers, and academic institutions.  We operate from a Bortle Class 2 dark sky location at SkiesAway Remote Observatory in central California with over 300 nights per year of observable sky conditions.

Supra Solem Observing operates a PlaneWave CDK 500 telescope on a L500 mount and a Moravian C1x61000 PRO camera with a variety of standard photometric (B,V,R,I,g',r',i') and narrowband (H-alpha and O-III) filters.  The system is run remotely under DC3 Dreams ACP Expert Scheduler for observatory control and web scheduling.

Our goal is to make time series observing of exoplanets and other variable stars as well as follow-up observations for high interest targets cost effective for the astronomy community.
